The landslide occurred in the 3800 block of Beechwood Boulevard and took down trees and power lines to about 12 homes.

Dozens of workers from Duquesne Light worked throughout Wednesday to get power back to the homes.

Homes were evacuated Tuesday night as a precaution, authorities said.

Dirt and rock continues to fall from the hillside, and trees continue to be uprooted, which means problems could get worse for residents in the area, authorities said.

Homeowners who own the land where the landslide occurred said they are responsible for clearing the debris, which could cost thousands.
