24-Hour Patrol At Flight 93 Memorial To End

Federal money that paid for police protection at the Flight 93 memorial in Somerset County has run out.

Since its inception, sheriff's deputies patrolled the site 24 hours a day thanks to grants and park service monies.

Now, state police will have to respond to calls there and will only randomly patrol the area.

The county said it's hopeful a regional police force that's in the works for several communities near the memorial will eventually return 24 hour patrols.
