Police Find Machete On Shoplifting Suspect

State police made quite a discovery after catching up with a man accused of shoplifting in South Union Township, Fayette County.

Allen Edward Pople, 18, of Uniontown, is suspected of taking $140 worth of CDs from a Target store, police said.

When police searched Pople, they said they found an 18-inch steel machete hidden inside the left leg of his jeans.

Pople was arraigned on retail theft and prohibited offensive weapons charges. He was being held in the county prison on $25,000 bond.
