A drive-by shooting in the city's Homewood neighborhood left one young person dead Wednesday afternoon, Pittsburgh police said.

Several shots were fired near the corner of Lang Avenue and Monticello Street, about a block away from Westinghouse High School. (Map)

The victim has been identified as James Stubbs, 17. Police said Stubbs was talking on a cell phone when someone drove by and opened fire.

Stubbs died at UPMC Presbyterian hospital, officials said.

Police don't think he was a Westinghouse student.

Investigators said they found a bluish Kia that they believe was used in the shooting.

No arrests have been made, and there has been no motive established yet.
