Arrest Made In Fatal Shooting Outside Downtown Club

Two people were shot outside the Dowe's On 9th nightclub in downtown Pittsburgh early Saturday morning, police said.

One man, Richard Hampton, 29, from the Hill District, died at 2:05 a.m. at Mercy Hospital.

The other victim, a 24-year-old woman, was also taken to Mercy Hospital and treated for a leg wound.

Police said they arrested 23-year-old Marzell Turner, of the Hill District, on Saturday afternoon in connection with the shooting.

Police said they believe the shooting was a result of an argument that began inside the club.
