A state panel will review the laws that let Kilbuck Township supervisors change an ordinance, which bans construction on land deemed prone to landslides.

WTAE Channel 4 Action News' news exchange partners at the Pittsburgh Tribune Review reported that the panel might recommend a new set of laws that give counties oversight on large projects, like the one that caused Route 65 to be shut down after a landslide.

The Department of Environmental Protection ordered the company developing the Wal-Mart site to post an engineer around the clock to make sure the land doesn't shift dramatically.
