Western Pa. Casinos Training, Hiring For Table Games

Jobs Include Dealers, Floor Managers, Shift Managers

Casinos in the Pittsburgh area will soon offer table games like poker, craps, roulette and blackjack, and they're going to be hiring and training dealers.

Rivers Casino on the city's North Shore will hold a dealer school in April to train people for about 350 anticipated job openings. No experience is necessary to attend classes. Dealers can make between $30,000 and $40,000 in salary, plus tips. Information is posted at riverscasinoteam.com.

Rivers Casino officials say they're looking for outgoing, energetic applicants. Those who get accepted and graduate will become table games dealers this summer.

Meadows Racetrack and Casino in North Strabane, Washington County, will partner with Community College of Beaver County for job training on table games. Jobs will include dealers, floor supervisors and shift managers. Information is posted at meadowsgaming.com.
