Developmental Milestones for Hearing
Birth to 3 months - Startled by loud sounds; soothed by Mother's voice.
3 - 6 months - Turns eyes and head to search for location of sound; reacts to mother's voice; enjoys rattles and noisy toys.
6-10 months - Responds to name, phone, people's voices and quiet sounds; understands "no", "bye" and other common words.
10 - 15 months - Locates or points to familiar objects or people when asked; imitates simple words and sounds like "baa" and "ooh".
