Marlins Reliever Miller Lands On DL

POSTED: 7:04 pm EDT July 5, 2008

(Sports Network) - The Florida Marlins placed pitcher Justin Miller on the 15-day disabled list Saturday with right elbow inflammation.

Miller, who surrendered two runs without recording an out in Friday's 18-17 loss to the Rockies, is 2-2 with a 4.58 earned run average in 39 1/3 innings over 39 appearances this season.

Last year, the right-hander posted a 5-0 record with a 3.65 ERA in 62 relief appearances.

To replace Miller on the 25-man roster, the Marlins recalled righty Matt Lindstrom from Triple-A Albuquerque. Lindstrom appeared in 30 games with Florida earlier this season, amassing a 1-1 record and a 5.18 ERA before being sent to the minors on June 24.
