St. Petersburg, FL -- St. Petersburg, FL (Sports Network) - Carl Crawford blasted the go-ahead three-run homer in the sixth inning, and the Tampa Bay Rays used 15 hits to beat the Angels, 8-5, completing a three-game weekend sweep. Crawford had three hits and stole two bases, while Akinori Iwamura went 3-for-5 and scored twice for the Rays. Cliff Floyd had two RBI in his first action since coming off the disabled list on Friday. Rays starter Andy Sonnanstine went five innings, surrendering five runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out three. J.P. Howell (2-0) came on to pitch three strong innings, retiring seven straight and nine of 10 to secure the win. Tampa Bay extended its franchise-record nine-game winning streak at home and has won four straight overall. Torii Hunter had three hits and drove in two runs for the Angels. Los Angeles starter Ervin Santana lasted 5 2/3 innings, allowing five runs on nine hits and one walk. He did strike out seven and left with a one-run lead, but remained at 6-0 on the season. The Angels have dropped four straight, their longest slide since dropping six in a row, April 12-18, 2007. Tampa Bay erased the Halo's 5-4 lead with a four-run sixth off Justin Speier (0-3).Final Score: Kansas City 4, Baltimore 0 Kansas City, MO (Sports Network) - Brian Bannister was virtually untouchable through eight innings as the Kansas City Royals avoided a four- game sweep with a 4-0 victory over the Baltimore Orioles. Bannister (4-4) took the win after allowing just two hits, two walks and striking out five batters in his time on the hill. Jose Guillen and Billy Butler each collected a pair of hits and a run batted in for the Royals, who have posted wins in just two of their last seven contests. Alex Gordon and Mark Teahen accounted for the other Kansas City RBI. Guillermo Quiroz and Luke Scott had the only hits for Baltimore, which saw its three-game win streak halted. Orioles starter Brian Burres (3-4) absorbed the loss after he was roughed up for four runs on nine hits in six innings of work. Final Score: Oakland 12, Texas 6 Arlington, TX (Sports Network) - Emil Brown finished with four runs batted in, including a three-run homer, as the Oakland Athletics avoided a weekend sweep and clobbered the Texas Rangers, 12-6. Daric Barton hit a two-run homer and Frank Thomas had two RBI. Mark Ellis went 3-for-5 for Oakland, which halted a two-game losing streak and has won five of seven overall. A's starter Rich Harden was roughed up after being activated from the disabled list before the game, lasting only 3 2/3 innings, giving up five runs on eight hits and four walks. Harden, who had been out since early April with a strained right shoulder, struck out five. The A's pitching finally settled down in the latter stages, getting 3 2/3 innings of scoreless relief from Santiago Casilla (2-0), Alan Embree and Huston Street to close out the game. Ian Kinsler went 3-for-5, scoring twice with a run batted in for Texas. Jarrod Saltalamacchia drove in two runs. Texas starter Sidney Ponson lasted 5 1/3 innings, surrendering six runs on seven hits and five walks. The loss halted a five-game win streak for Texas, which lost for just the third time in its last 12 contests. Final Score: Seattle 6, Chicago 3 Seattle, WA (Sports Network) - Raul Ibanez launched a monstrous go-ahead two-run homer and the Seattle Mariners snapped a five-game losing streak with a 6-3 victory over the Chicago White Sox. Ichiro Suzuki was 3-for-4 and scored twice, and Yuniesky Betancourt had a pair of hits and two RBI. Mariners starter Miguel Batista (3-4) held on for the win despite lasting only 5 1/3 innings, allowing three runs on 10 hits and three walks. He struck out six, as the Mariners won for just the second time in their last 12 games. Chicago starter Gavin Floyd (3-2) left after 3 2/3 innings, having given up five runs on a season-high nine hits and two walks. This came following a contest where Floyd was at the top of his game, as the 25-year-old took a no- hitter into the ninth against the Minnesota Twins in a 7-1 victory. Orlando Cabrera tied a career-high with four hits and scored a run for Chicago. Carlos Quentin was 2-for-5 with an RBI and scored once for the White Sox, who had their three-game winning streak snapped. Final Score: Minnesota 9, Boston 8 Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - Craig Monroe clubbed a pair of homers and drove in four runs, and Minnesota held on for a 9-8 victory over the Boston Red Sox, in the third installment of a four-game series. Justin Morneau had three hits and scored twice for the Twins, who have won eight of their last 11 games. Adam Everett belted a two-run homer and Mike Lamb stroked a two-run single. Coco Crisp smacked a two-run homer and had three RBI for Boston, which has lost two games so far in this series, both by a run. Alex Cora had three hits in defeat. Nick Blackburn (3-2) earned the victory by allowing nine hits and four runs through six innings, and Joe Nathan held on for his 12th save in as many opportunities despite allowing three hits and two runs in the ninth. Tim Wakefield (3-2) was charged with seven hits and seven runs -- six earned -- in 2 2/3 innings and took the loss. New York at Detroit, postponed Detroit, MI (Sports Network) - Sunday's scheduled series finale between the New York Yankees and Detroit Tigers was postponed due to rain. No make-up date for the game was announced. Sunday's probably pitchers were Andy Pettitte for the Yankees and Nate Robertson for the Tigers. Pettitte will be pushed back a day and take the hill against the Tampa Bay Rays in St. Petersburg on Monday. After an off day, Detroit plans to use Robertson on Tuesday night in Kansas City. Toronto at Cleveland, postponed Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) - Sunday's game between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Cleveland Indians has been postponed due to rain. The game will be made up as a traditional doubleheader on Monday, as the clubs will play twice to finish out a four-game set. The first game is slated for 4:05 p.m., and the second game will start approximately 30 minutes after the first game ends. A.J. Burnett for the Blue Jays and Fausto Carmona for the Indians -- who were Sunday's probable starting pitchers -- will face off in the first game. Toronto's Shaun Marcum and Cleveland's Cliff Lee will toe the rubber in the second game. Cleveland won the first two games of the series, 6-1 on Friday and 12-0 on Saturday.
