H1N1 Prank? Seton Hill Gets Unconfirmed Report Of Illnesses

University Says No Cases Of Swine Flu Reported On Campus

POSTED: 6:34 pm EDT October 20, 2009

Claiming to be from the state health department, a man told administrators at Seton Hill University that there were several confirmed cases of H1N1 flu at the school.

After several follow-up phone calls, the university discovered that the caller did not work for the health department.

"His name is not a familiar name to them, and the fellow left a phone number back, and the telephone was disconnected," said Charmaine Strong, dean of students.

Seton Hill said there are no confirmed cases of the swine flu at school, but any students who feel sick are urged to go to the university's Wellness Center.
