Creepy Destinations: Want To Scare Yourself Silly?

Travel To These Creepy Sights, Or Rent A Horror Flick

Thinking of scaring yourself or someone else silly?

If you want to take a ghastly vacation, take a look at The Travel Channel's list of the world's creepiest destinations.

Among the top 10 spots is the Bermuda Triangle, but you won't find many pilots or ship captains willing to take you there because of its reputation as a watery grave for hundreds of travelers.

Also included is in the list is the Tower of London, a place that has executed England's most infamous characters and Salem, Mass., where 19 convicted witches were hanged in 1692.

The creepiest spot in the world? That would be Lizzie Borden's home. Borden is believed to have killed her parents with an ax and her house is now not only a museum -- it's a bed-and-breakfast. So you can spend the night at the scene of the crime and eat exactly what her parents ate during their last meal -- bananas, sugar cookies and johnnycakes.

The site also has a list of best gravesites in the world and the history behind the country's spookiest cities.

Now if you're not in the mood to travel to get your thrills, you can always stay at home and rent some great horror films. The American Film Institute created a list of the top 100 thrillers of all times to commemorate its 100 years.

The movie often considered the scariest -- " The Exorcist" -- is No. 3 on the list. It is topped by "Jaws" and Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho." If those movies are all checked out at your local rental shop, don't worry there are 97 other movies that are guaranteed to give you goosebumps.
