Fish Kill Reported In Greene County's Dunkard Creek

Hundreds Of Fish And Mussels Dead

The Department of Environmental Protection is investigating the deaths of hundreds of fish and mussels in Dunkard Creek.

A Department spokesperson said some kind of pollution entered the 20-mile stretch of creek in Greene County, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

There are three active coal mines near the fork of the creek in West Virginia but investigators have not been able to pinpoint the source of the pollution.

It is still unknown how many fish have been killed.
