PITTSBURGH -- Giant Eagle pharmacies are offering 10 commonly prescribed antibiotics for free, as the calendar turns and Pittsburgh heads into cold and flu season.
The list includes common prescriptions such as amoxicillin and ampicillin and is good for up to a 14-day supply.
Customers don't need to register for the free drugs. All they need is a valid prescription.
A note on Giant Eagle's Web site says it reserves the right to modify or discontinue the offer at any time.
Previously, the antibiotics cost customers $4 each.
