After the rally, the Pirates also observed Earth Day with an "energy-free day" in their afternoon game against the Florida Marlins at PNC Park.

All energy used at the ballpark Wednesday was renewable, the Pirates said. Also, for every dollar spent on energy, $1 will be donated to national energy-resource development.

The Bucs offered $5 off any ticket priced $12 or more for fans who rode their bicycles to the game, where the team continued its "Let's Go Bucs. Let's Go Green" campaign.
