Store Caters To Low-Carb Faithful

POSTED: 9:59 a.m. EDT October 17, 2003

For people trying out the latest low-carb diet craze, there is a new store that promises to make things easier for you.

It's called the LowCarb Superstore.

Mark Crowl said that when he and his wife started the popular Atkins Diet, he would spend a tank of gas and a lot of patience looking for low-carb foods. So the couple decided to start their own store for the low-carb faithful.

The store carries over 500 different products and each one is marked with a tag listing its carbohydrate load.

Pizza, chocolate and chips are OK in this store, and the owners say the foods don't taste like cardboard.
