PITTSBURGH -- Six new restaurants that opened in Allegheny County last month have chosen to ban smoking, the county Health Department said.
They are:

In June, the health department said the following 10 smoke-free restaurants had opened:
Dingbats/Abate Seafood/Royal Gatherings, 357 Pittsburgh Mills Circle, Tarentum Subway, 101 West Station Square Drive, Station Square Palate, 212 Sixth Street, Downtown Roadside Ribs, 511 Miller Run Road, Bridgeville Del Greco Pizzeria, 1216 Cochran Mill Road, Jefferson Kozy Corner Cafe, 605 Scenery Drive, Elizabeth Township Legume Bistro, 1113 South Braddock Avenue, Edgewood Pizza La Bella, 4960 William Flynn Highway, Richland Villa Pizza, 301 South Hills Village, Bethel Park Luma Restaurant, 186 Castle Shannon Boulevard, Mt. Lebanon
Eat 'n Park also announced that smoking would no longer be allowed in any of its restaurants.

The decision by these restaurants to go smoke-free is voluntary. Earlier this year, the county tried to ban smoking in all bars and restaurants, but the ban was defeated in court when two downtown restaurants filed suit.
