Belle Vernon Man Charged After Juvenile Hit With Sword

BELLE VERNON, Pa. -- Police in Belle Vernon have charged a man with assaulting a juvenile with a sword.

According to reports from the Southwest Regional Police Department, officers were called to a home on Rear Johnston Street because of a domestic disturbance on Tuesday afternoon.

Police said Ronald Cinkan Sr. assaulted a juvenile family member with a sword.

Following the initial investigation, officers arrested Cinkan on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment.

The juvenile was also cited for harassment.

Following his arraignment, Cinkan was released on $5,000 secured bond.

Currently there's no word on what, if any injuries juvenile suffered.
