NORTH STRABANE TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- There's a new way to get some free gambling money at the Meadows Racetrack and Casino.
Each canned good that's brought to the casino in North Strabane, Washington County, will bring $5 in return that can be used for gaming.
"The more people that come, the more money and food we get, and the month of November, we donate everything to people for Thanksgiving dinner," said Peg Wilson, of the
Greater Washington County Food Bank.
Canned goods are only collected on Tuesdays. There is a maximum of $15 in free gambling money that can be handed out.
This is the food drive's second year.
