Amber Shares Survival Stories On 'Regis'

Hometown girl Amber Brkich didn't take long to move from the Outback to the talk-show circuit. 041301amber Video Amber Talks With Regis And Kelly The 22-year-old from New Brighton, Beaver County, was voted off the television game show "Survivor" after a dramatic Thursday night episode in which the contestants' camp was flooded and they risked their lives in rough waters to save their remaining food and possessions. Brkich appeared on "Live With Regis And Kelly" Friday and, as one might imagine, food was the main topic of discussion. She said that a steady diet of rice -- and not much else -- helped her to lose 15 pounds during her 33 days in the Australian Outback, and talked about having to eat a grasshopper as part of one of the game's Immunity Challenges. The low point of the entire experience? Brkich says that it was not having a toothbrush until her Ogakor tribe merged with the Kucha tribe. The Westminster College graduate says that she does not know when or how much she will be paid for her "Survivor" stint, so she plans to make the rounds as a talk show guest for a while. Contestants are scheduled to receive their checks once the show is over and the ultimate survivor is decided. Previous Story: Discussion:
