Kenny Chesney Concert: Rain Possible, Pittsburgh Travel Advisories

UPDATED: 6:42 pm EDT June 13, 2008

More than 60,000 people are expected to attend Kenny Chesney's "Poets and Pirates" concert at Heinz Field on Saturday night.

A huge stage and related television equipment are already being set up for fans at the stadium.

If you're planning on going to the show, you'll need to know about some traffic restrictions.

No construction is planned on the inbound Parkway West/Interstate 376, but outbound traffic will be down to one lane.

Drivers headed east toward Monroeville after the concert may want to avoid the parkway by taking southbound Route 28 out of the city and then jumping on the Pennsylvania Turnpike at Exit 48 in Harmar Township.

The HOV lanes on the Parkway North/Interstate 279 are closed for an ongoing construction project.

Main Street in the city's West End will be closed toward the West End Circle on Saturday.

Also, PennDOT is planning intermittent, short-term single-lane closures on Interstate 79 at the Crafton interchange (Exit 60) and between the Wexford interchange (Exit 73) and the Butler County line. The closures are scheduled to last from 6 a.m. to noon.
