The season finale of "The Bachelor" is the talk of the town in Mentor, Ohio.

Andrew Firestone proposed to Mentor-native Jen Schefft. He gave her a 3-carat oval shape diamond ring that was lovely.

Jen is a 1994 Mentor High School graduate. She also graduated from Ohio University. She is described by her former teachers as warm, friendly and involved in everything.

She was involved with homecoming court and student council. She also was voted prettiest smile.

Sally Carver, her cheerleading coach, said that people are excited that someone from Mentor won.

"Everybody has been talking about it," Carver said.

Linda Clements, Jen's guidance counselor: "I think Jen being as natural as she was during the entire show and it seems that there is a natural quality to his family, it seems to be a really good blend."
