Idlewild and SoakZone amusement park fired a teenage employee accused of secretly taking photographs in a women's changing room.

Ligonier Township police said the 15-year-old had a cell phone strapped to a broom with earphone wires from his iPod and was using the broomstick to position the camera in the rafters, recording video and taking photos.

Some women had just finished swimming and were at a family changing station when one of them spotted the camera and called for help, police said.

"It was on automatic," police Chief Ron Dorazio said. "He was taking pictures of the girls. They were in the showers, taking showers and dressing."

By the time officers arrived, all of the photos and videos had been erased, so the phone was not confiscated, police said.

"We interviewed the boy who owned the camera, and he confessed to doing it," Dorazio said. "Didn't know why he did it. He was fired that day and issued a citation from us of disorderly conduct."

The suspect is not being identified because of his age.

Police said they have no reason to suspect photos were taken of anybody else at the park.

Park officials declined to comment on the incident.
