Radio station 93.7 FM The Zone has dropped its all-talk lineup and "Man Station" name after less than six months.

Early Friday evening, WTZN went back to a popular music format and relaunched the old "B94" name that had been a Pittsburgh mainstay for years.

Hundreds of e-mails flooded thepittsburghchannel.com's inbox when 93.7 abruptly dropped B-94 and changed to K-Rock in June 2004.

In April, the station dropped its rock music format and K-Rock name in favor of the all-talk format, which proved to have a short life.

Before changing to a rock station, 93.7 was WBZZ and "B-94" for many years, playing strictly pop music. It changed formats in the face of strong competition from KISS 96.1.
