LOS ANGELES -- Halle Berry has something better than an Oscar on the way: She's expecting her first child.

The 41-year-old award-winning actress told the TV celebrity magazine "Access Hollywood" she is three months pregnant.

Berry said the father is her boyfriend, model Gabriel Aubry.

"Gabriel and I are beyond excited, and I've waited a long time for this moment in life. Now the next seven months will be the longest of my life!" Berry wrote "Access Hollywood" in an e-mail.

Among Berry's award-winning roles is an Oscar for Best Actress for "Monster's Ball" and a Best Actress Emmy and a Golden Globe for her title role in "Introducing Dorothy Dandridge."

Berry has also starred as the mutant Storm in the three "X-Men" movies. Her other films include the James Bond film "Die Another Day," the animated comedy "Robots," the political satire "Bulworth" and the thriller "Gothika."

She most recently starred in the techno-thriller "Perfect Stranger" and will next play a widow who turns to her late husband's troubled friend (Benicio Del Toro) for solace in the drama "Things We Lost in the Fire."
