Be prepared for some new traffic delays in downtown Pittsburgh.

A new Spike TV series called "The Kill Point" is shooting scenes in Market Square and stars Emmy Award-winner John Leguizamo.

The show, which is about a downtown bank robbery and hostage situation, is scheduled to premiere on July 22.

Leguizamo said he is pumped about the tale of troubled, angry war veterans.

"The beautiful thing about his show, it is a mini-series," said Leguizamo. "In fact, it's about vets who come back, our vets, who aren't being taken care of, so they get upset, post-traumatic stress, not getting benefits so trying to rob a bank to make a statement."

He also said he is pumped about being in Pittsburgh.

"Look at the people -- they are great, man," said Leguizamo. "They are really thoughtful. They are cool, nice people. I find them really considerate. I eat at Eleven most of the time, my favorite place to eat."

Leguizamo and the crew will be in Pittsburgh until late June. He has scheduled a book signing on June 2 for his autobiography.

"It is a long, nasty name," Leguizamo said of the title of his book. "There is no such thing as a Hollywood friend, trust me. I did it because I am masochistic. It is free therapy to write about my parents. They got all riled up about my show, and it made them hate me. Thought I would explain the history of how they mistreated me. Oops, there I go again."

Cars and buses will be rerouted beginning Monday through May 25.

Forbes Avenue will be closed to traffic between Wood and Stanwix streets until 9 p.m. daily.

It's no too late to be cast as an extra. For more information, visit www.MosserCasting.com.

Several Port Authority bus routes will be affected. Get the complete list at www.PortAuthority.org.
