MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- A Massachusetts teacher and her 15-year-old student, who disappeared a week ago after the boy's parents complained about the woman's relationship with their son, have been found in Morgantown, W.Va.
State police in West Virginia said they arrested Lisa Lavoie, 24, of Ludlow, Mass., shortly before midnight Monday after she was located at a Super 8 motel.

Missing Teacher, Student Found"My office received notification from the state of Massachusetts, the police department there, that they had a child abduction and that they were currently in the Morgantown area in a local motel," Cpl. T.W. Goodnight said. "We responded to the motel and found her vehicle there. Confirmed with the desk clerk that they were in fact there. We went to the room and took her into custody."
Lavoie is being held in West Virginia Northern Regional Prison. She has agreed to be extradited back to Massachusetts to face a charge of enticing a child under 16.
Holyoke, Mass., Mayor Michael Sullivan described the student as a "good kid" and a well-liked athlete who did not have any problems at home. He said arrangements were being made to return the boy to Massachusetts.
"We want the process to unfold, make sure we give the people the benefit of the doubt to tell their story," Sullivan told WTAE's Boston affiliate, WCVB.
The boy's mother contacted Maurice Donahue Elementary School in Holyoke on Feb. 13, saying she was concerned about the relationship between her son and the teacher. The boy was reported missing Feb. 16.
"We really don't know what the status is of their relationship or if they've had any personal relationship outside the school," Sullivan said.
