Morgantown, WV -- (Sports Network) - LeSean McCoy ran for 148 yards and Pat Bostick scored a touchdown, as the Pittsburgh Panthers spoiled second-ranked West Virginia's chances at a national championship with a 13-9 win at Milan Puskar Field.Bostick ended 10-of-19 passing for just 67 yards with two interceptions for the Panthers (5-7, 3-4 Big East), who used ball control, strong defense and a bit of luck to reward head coach Dave Wannstedt with the biggest win during his tenure on the day he received a three-year contract extension. Pat White left the game in the second quarter with a dislocated right thumb, but returned late and tried to rally the Mountaineers (10-2, 5-2), who likely would have been playing for their first national championship with a win. Ranked second in the BCS standings heading into the game, a win probably would have put the Big East champion West Virginia in the title game. Steve Slaton was held to just 11 yards rushing and White went 5-of-10 for 50 yards passing and ran for 41 yards for West Virginia, which will still be headed to a BCS bowl despite the loss.
