Michigan C Molk Out For Season

POSTED: 1:17 pm EDT October 26, 2009

(Sports Network) - University of Michigan starting center David Molk will miss the rest of the season after tearing his ACL in Saturday's 35-10 loss to Penn State.

Molk, who had missed the previous four contests with a broken foot, had started every game last season as a redshirt freshman.

"David Mock unfortunately tore his ACL and will have surgery here as soon he he's available," Michigan head coach Rich Rodriguez said on Monday. "He will be out for the rest of the season and spring practice. If everything goes well in the surgery he will be fine for the summer."

David Moosman will be the starting center for this Saturday's matchup with Illinois.
