NCAA Game Summary - Baylor At Virginia Tech

(Sports Network) - Kevin Rogers scored 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the third-seeded Baylor Bears to an 84-66 win over the second-seeded Virginia Tech Hokies in second round action of the NIT.

Curtis Jerrells also added 16 points for the Bears (22-14), while LaceDarius Dunn chipped in with 13 points and nine rebounds. Josh Lomers and Tweety Carter also got involved, netting 12 points apiece, while Henry Dugat checked in with 10 points off the bench.

The Hokies were paced by Malcolm Delaney, who tallied 14 points and 10 rebounds in a losing effort. A.D. Vassallo also added 12 points for Virginia Tech (19-15).

Baylor took control of the contest in the first half, shooting 66.7 percent from the floor to take a commanding 41-21 lead at the break.

The Bears kept the pressure on in the second stanza, knocking down 6-of-11 three-pointers en route to an 18-point victory.

With the win, Baylor will move on to face Auburn in the quarterfinal round of the NIT on Tuesday night.
