Philadelphia, PA -- (Sports Network) - In the final round of the Philly Hoop Group Classic at The Palestra, Robert Morris thumped Howard 72-53 behind A.J. Jackson's 15 points and 10 rebounds. Jackson's performance marked his 23rd double-double in a Colonial (3-2) uniform. Tony Lee also finished with 15 points, while adding five assists and four steals in the winning effort. Jeremy Chappell and Bateko Francisco each chipped in with 11 points. The Bison (2-4) were led Eugene Myatt's 18 points, but the forward shot just 6- of-14 from the field. Kandi Mukole netted 14 points in the loss, and Jeron Smith pulled down nine rebounds from the guard position. Robert Morris forced 17 first-half turnovers to take a commanding 36-26 halftime advantage. The Colonials shot 53.3 percent from the field in the second half to maintain the lead and cruise to the 19-point win. Howard's mistakes were a major cause for the loss, as their 23 turnovers led to 29 Colonial points.
