NCAA Game Summary - Northwestern At Ohio State

(Sports Network) - Evan Turner scored 17 points to lead the Ohio State Buckeyes to a 52-47 win over the Northwestern Wildcats in Big Ten Conference play at Value City Arena.

Jon Diebler and William Buford each added 11 points for the Buckeyes (20-9, 10-8 Big 10), while B.J. Mullen chipped in with 10 points.

The Wildcats (17-12, 8-10) were paced by Craig Moore, who scored a game-high 18 points in a losing effort. Kevin Coble also added 13 points, while Michael Thompson netted 12 points for Northwestern.

OSU got off to a fast start, shooting 42.9 percent from the floor in the first half, to take a 25-15 lead at the break.

The Buckeyes managed to hold on in the second stanza, knocking down 11-of-22 shots from the floor, en route to a five-point victory.

OSU was tenacious on defense, limiting the Wildcats to just 39.1 percent shooting from the floor, while forcing 16 turnovers in the process.
