NCAA Game Summary - Canisius At Niagara

(Sports Network) - Charron Fisher scored a game-high 28 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Niagara Purple Eagles to a convincing, 87-63 victory over the Canisius Golden Griffins in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action at the Gallagher Center.

Stanley Hodge added 21 points for Niagara (19-8, 12-6 MAAC), while Tyrone Lewis and Benson Egemonye contributed 16 and 15 points, respectively.

Greg Logins scored a career-high 23 points for Canisius (5-24, 2-16), while Tomas Vazquez-Simmons chipped in 12 points in the loss.

The Purple Eagles shot 45.5 percent from the field in the first half and went into the break with a 37-28 advantage.

Niagara continue to pour on the pressure in the second stanza, shooting 51.4 percent from the floor en route to the lopsided 24-point win.

The Purple Eagles made 22-of-28 attempts at the foul line in the contest, while Canisius connected on just 3-of-5 shots from the charity stripe.
