It's always nice to report good news when it comes to cars. Today, we are talking about cars that received the highest consumer ratings according to LemonLaw.com. Everything from SUV's to sedans to luxury cars. Do you really need to spend a lot of money to get a great car? The answer is no. Some of the best buys out there are reasonably priced. Take a look at the list of best buys for sedans. Nissan Maxima, Lexus IS300, Acura RL, Nissan Sentra, Buick Regal, and the Ford Taurus. Car expert Craig Kimmel says a lot goes into getting a good car, including a good warranty, a good dealership and the price. Kimmel: "What are the resale values for this car compared to its competitors? If it's higher, chances are it's a better car." Here's a look at the best buy list for SUVs -- Toyota Land Cruiser, Lexus RX300, Toyota Sequoia, Mitsubishi Montero Sport, Inifinti QX4, Acura MDX, and the Nissan Path Finder. The Toyota Tacoma was listed as a best buy for trucks. For coupes, it was the Pontiac Sunfire and the Toyota Celica, now called the Solara. Toyota is on the list several times, and Kimmel says there's a good reason why. Kimmel: "They make a good solid vehicle, they don't try to go to the edge of technology either way, and they have parts and quality first-time repairs instead of come-back repairs." Finally, the luxury cars -- the Lexus LX430, the Acura TL and the Buick Century. Copyright 2003 by ThePittsburghChannel. All rights reserved.
