Police arrested one man following a shootout that stretched through two Pittsburgh neighborhoods Saturday evening.

A Zone 5 Sergeant on patrol in Homewood was flagged down and alerted to gun shots in the area of North Lang Avenue, police said.

“An anonymous citizen who was concerned said that two actors were shooting at each other, and a gray Cadillac was involved,” Sergeant Ray Rippole told Channel Four Action News’ Ashlie Hardway.

Along North Lang officers found tire marks, shell casings and what appeared to be pieces from a car, Hardway reported.

A second officer then found a wrecked Cadillac located about one quarter mile away at North Dallas Avenue and Thomas Street in Point Breeze, police said.

Police recovered a gun from inside the vehicle, according to reports.

The driver of the car, a 60-year-old man, was arrested and charged with firearms violations, police told Hardway.

Police said they are investigating whether a man who showed-up wounded to a local hospital was involved in the shooting.

“We believe it’s from this incident,” Sergeant Rippole said. “We had a male walk into UPMC hospital with a gunshot wound to the neck, but it’s all still under investigation.”

The gunshot victim was released from UPMC Presbyterian hospital, Hardway reported.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
