Driver Goes Through Closed Liberty Tunnels

PITTSBURGH -- A driver gave construction workers a scare in one of Pittsburgh's Liberty tunnels Wednesday night.

The inbound lanes were closed for overnight roadwork, but police told Channel 4 Action News a man drove around the barriers and headed into the tunnel.

Police caught up with the driver, who received a citation.

Officers said the driver was not under the influence of alcohol.
