PITTSBURGH -- Gunshots rang out in between whistle blows Friday night outside a stadium during a city league football game Friday night on Pittsburgh's South Side.Pittsburgh police arrested Dwaye Schaeffer, 23, who they said fired gunshots at his 18-year-old brother.WTAE Channel 4's Jon Greiner reported that a school police officer tried to stop two intoxicated men from trying to get into a football game at South Side Stadium on Ninth Street.
School police said one of the men threatened to shoot one of the school police officers before stepping outside the stadium and firing four gunshots, prompting Pittsburgh police officers to respond."He started walking toward Monongahela River when an off-duty cop says, 'Who fired shots?' They take off running. The officer comes running with weapon drawn (and told the man to) 'Hit the ground.' He said it five or six times before he had to discharge his weapon," said John Samples, a witness.No one was hurt by any of the bullets, and police arrested the man they said fired the gun.The 18-year-old was also arrested on firearms and heroin charges.
