UPDATED: 3:44 pm EST December 3, 2009

The Rite Aid Celebration of Lights will be open for viewing at Hartwood in Indiana Township, Allegheny County, from Nov. 20, 2009, through Jan. 3, 2010.

Visitors may drive through from 6-10 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays, and from 6-11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

The annual attraction, now in its 18th year, will be open daily during the holiday season -- including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. More than 600,000 people drive through each year.

The Rite Aid Celebration of Lights, presented by Allegheny County and WTAE-TV Channel 4, is an outdoor illuminated spectacle displayed along a 3½-mile stretch of roadway leading up to the stunning mansion at Hartwood. Visitors are able to view the displays from their cars. More than 2 million lights shine on holiday-themed figures standing three to 40 feet tall.

This event helps raise money for WTAE-TV Channel 4's Project Bundle-Up, a partnership with The Salvation Army of Southwestern Pennsylvania, which provides new coats, gloves and other cold-weather clothing to children and senior citizens.

Suggested donations of $12 per carload or $3 per person for nonprofit organization buses and $5 per person for for-profit organization buses will primarily benefit WTAE-TV Channel 4's Project Bundle-Up.
