Airport Security Jobs

POSTED: 11:42 a.m. EDT June 23, 2002

Qualified security workers are needed at Pittsburgh International Airport, WTAE's Meghan Jones reported.

Anyone who is interested may call (877) 631-5627. Information is also available at www.tsa.gov, which is the Web site for the federal Transportation and Security Administration.

The openings are for federal positions. Salaries range from $23,600 to $35,400. Training is required in a classroom program and on the job.

Volunteer ambassadors are also needed to greet international flights. Ambassadors direct travelers to immigration, customs, and baggage claim, and they answer questions about the airport and the city.

Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer ambassador may call 412-472-5690.
