Lisa Beamer was in town to accept proceeds from the school's Auction for America fundraiser in her husband's honor.

A check for $16,100 was presented for the Todd Beamer Foundation.

The school has held fundraisers on the 11th of each month to benefit charities related to the Sept. 11 attacks, WTAE's Paul Van Osdol reported.
