Construction crews in Pittsburgh are continuing to work on the new David L. Lawrence Convention Center, with less than two months to go until the first show is scheduled.

The first phase of the project requires that 130,000 square feet of exhibit space be ready to go in time for Pittsburgh's annual recreational vehicle show.

Many R.V. dealers in southwestern Pennsylvania count on that show to generate as much as one-third of their annual sales. Dealers are to start moving vehicles into the new building on Feb. 19.

The show runs from Feb. 23 to March 3.

Planners had wanted to hold the show in early January, but delayed it because work wasn't progressing on the convention center as quickly as planned.
